"Spring Heel Strap" is now standard on all Scubapro Jetfins!
Scubapro has made its own "Spring Heel Strap" and has chosen to include it as a standard strap on all its Scubapro Jet fins. In good Scubapro tradition, they have not copied existing variants, but improved functionality and design. Specifically, there are two changes, one being that they have shaped the delrin end piece so that it fits the shape of the swim foot where the strap is to be attached. The other is that they use screw and nylon lock nut to mount the heel strap so it's easier to switch to the strap itself and make it sit.
SCUBAPRO's JET FIN
It's still the fin of choice among hosts of professional divers the world over.
SCUBAPRO's JET FIN is famous. This distinctive fin design set the standard for power and durability when it was first introduced 50 years ago. Its durable rubber construction and beefy shape can still be seen on dive boats, research vessels and in the world's most remote dive locales. Mention "JET FIN" to virtually anybody who holds a C-card and they'll know exactly what you're talking about.
Featuring a proven vented design that decreases drag on the up stroke and enhances thrust on the down stroke, the JET FIN delivers just the right amount of power and maneuverability for the job at hand. That's why to this day tech divers, deep divers, military divers, commercial divers, dive instructors -- as well as old-school recreational divers -- still strap on their favorite pair of JET FINS before every dive.
Clearly, when you're diving with JET FINS, you're diving in good company.
There are many imitations, but there is only ONE JET FIN.
JET FINS are available in a range of colors with an adjustable rubber heel strap or a rugged stainless-steel spring strap that lasts forever and makes donning and doffing as easy as can be.

Jetfins are well suited for frog kicks, which for regular propulsion are the most effective (and only logical!) leg kick. All power is used for propulsion, contradiction to "regular" leg kicks where as much force is channeled up and down, which you get exploited for pure progress.
In confined areas, Jetfins work well for so-called modified flutter / frog kicks, and you can just as easily turn (helicopter turn) as swim backwards with jetfins with the right technique.
If you dive into wrecks, caves, photographs or enjoy good control and technique, Jetfins is the ideal choice. Investing in training on different types of leg kicks is an investment that pays off multiple times when you get the skills.
Scubapro Spring Heel Strap
It is not thought that you will be able to choose different type of length of heel strap for your Jetfins. We have long experience of selling separate heel straps for Scubapro Jetfins and "know better" :-). So we give you full freedom to match the size of swim feet you need with the heel strap size that suits you best.
- "Spring heel straps" make it easier to take the flippers on and off - more comfort!
- You don't have to cancel a dive because you were unlucky to step off one of your swim feets - more fun!
- You avoid unpleasant surprises from the strap during diving - better safety!
Choose the right size

The XL size is usually the right choice for those who have size 39 in shoes up to 43 (also 44 if you have a dry suit with "turbosole" type shoes).
New Scubapro Jetfins XXL size will be a good size for those who use from about str. 44 with heavy dry suit shoes, and from approx. 45 with turbosole type dry suit shoe. XXL will fit upwards to about shoe size 47.
Large size is relatively small and is typically best suited for diving in wetsuits or with dry suits that have shoe sizes less than about 38/39.

What length of heel strap will fit your Jetfins depends on the type of shoe you have on your suit:
Most commonly, divers with shoe sizes 39 - 43 (with "standard type dry suit shoes") and 39 - 44 (with Turbosole type dry suit shoes) need Jetfin flippers in size XL.
For shoe size 39-40 and Jetfins XL - Medium Scubapro heel strap
For shoe size 40-41 (standard shoes) / 41-42 (turbosole shoes) and Jetfins XL - Large Scubapro heel strap
For shoe size 42-44 (standard shoes) / 43-45 (turbosole shoes) and Jetfins XL - XL Scubapro heel strap
For those who have larger feet / use Scubapro's new Jetfin XXL size, the heel strap in size Large will be the correct length in 99 out of 100 cases up to and including 44 in shoe size. For turbosole type shoes, the Large strap can also cover size 45 in shoes. But if you have "standard" powerful type of dry suit boots, the XL strap will usually fit best from 44/45 and upwards. The stronger the shoes, the more likely the XL is needed from 44.
You may like to (preferably) note in the comments field when you place your order: Which shoe size you use, what kind of dry suit you dive with and which Jetfins size you have (possibly clone brand and size), then we shall try to double-check the length selection you have done to our experience. If we are in doubt, we would like to send the two sizes / lengths we are in doubt, so you can check for yourself. Or if you have received a pair that is too short or long, we will of course exchange them.
